Karaoke KTV room prices in Vietnam: real figures from 35 venues
Most articles about KTV prices give one vague number. This one uses the rates the venues in our directory actually publish — and says plainly which ones publish none.
The two ways venues quote
Of 35 venues, 11 quote hourly and 4 quote per room. Hourly runs 350.000đ to 2.500.000đ per hour, midpoint around 699.000đ. Per-room runs 690.000đ to 1.600.000đ, midpoint around 800.000đ.
Hourly is easy to compare but overruns if you sing long. Per-room is tidier for a long party but usually carries conditions on the time slot or a minimum drinks spend. When you ask for a price, ask which model it is.
Three things that push the bill up
Room size is the biggest variable. Within one venue a large VIP room can be triple a two-person room. Booking a twenty-guest room for six people means paying for empty seats.
Time slot is second. After 9 PM on Friday and Saturday is always the top rate. The same room at 6–7 PM is usually noticeably cheaper and easier to get.
Drinks are the forgotten part and usually exceed the room charge. Ask what a full drinks package includes and how many people it covers, then compare against ordering individually — at some venues the package is clearly better value.
Why many venues publish no rate
20 venues in the directory publish no fixed rate. The real reason: pricing moves with room size, day of week, time slot and whether a drinks package is included, so a single number would be wrong more often than right.

How to ask so the quote holds
Give four things in your first message: date, arrival time, party size, and whether you need a VIP room. Those four decide almost the whole price; missing one costs another round of questions.
Add two questions: “does this include drinks?” and “is there a surcharge after a certain hour?” Those cover the two gaps where first-timers most often end up above their expectation.
